Just a couple of days ago, Microsoft’s Xbox division announced a slew of new additions to the backwards compatibility list, including Battlefield 3 and Battlefield: Bad Company 2.
We were all wondering whether these would make their way to EA’s subscription service available on Xbox One, EA Access, though nothing was mentioned by either EA or Microsoft. That being said, it looks like Xbox Germany has spilt the beans a little early. The German Facebook page for the Xbox division wrote:
“Wir spielen eine Runde Battlefield: Bad Company 2 auf der Xbox One! Ab sofort abwärtskompatibel und im Store oder bei EA Access in der Vault erhältlich! Auch heute noch ein cooler Titel, oder?
Which roughly translates to:
“We’re playing a round of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 on the Xbox One! Now backward compatible and in store or with EA Access in the Vault. Still a cool game today, right?”
However… The Facebook post has since been edited to remove any reference to the EA Access program. Maybe someone over at Xbox made a mistake, or perhaps EA weren’t ready to add it to the program just yet. We’ll find out soon enough.
