Sledgehammer Games has made a big noise about how committed the studio is in bringing the focus back to boots-on-the-ground gameplay in Call of Duty: WWII, something that has pleased long-time fans of the franchise that have grown tired of all the silly jetpacks and what not.
However, things won’t be completely normal… Remember the dolphin dive that debuted in Call of Duty: Black Ops? It’s making a comeback in some form in Call of Duty: WWII. It won’t necessarily be the exact same thing, but according to Sledgehammer Games, CoD: WWII will have a diving feature that’ll make it a little easier to get out of the line of fire when in battle.
To be fair, it’s not exactly unrealistic. What would you do if some Nazi dude aimed his gun at you? Of course you’d hit the deck as fast as possible.
Call of Duty: WWII is set to release on Xbox One and Xbox One X this November 3rd.
